What are 1-2 of your most significant academic/extracurricular/work experiences?

I’ve gotten to work in music studios and local creative startups in my home city over the past 2 years. Both experiences have taught me all I know about the music industry, entrepreneurship, music production, songwriting, and community building.

What is your ideal job/role in about 10 years?

I want to start my own inclusive music studio/creative space that fosters storytelling across many artistic mediums such as film, photography, dance, digital design, and visual media. I’ve seen how powerful music can be in making people feel represented and seen in their lived experience, so with this space I aim to also support the voices of musicians from diasporic communities.

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern?

I really loved the interdisciplinary focus this program had in both business and creativity. I feel this program will give me the skills and knowledge to combine my passion for music and entrepreneurship into my career.

What aspect of the MSLCE program are you most excited to experience? (i.e. specific class, site visit, IDEA fund, internship, etc.)

I’ve very excited about the IDEA fund and the internship period.

Favorite (song/movie/podcast/show/festival/exhibition…)

My favorite song at the moment is called Broken Bottles Reimagined by UMI. But Jorja Smith, Joy Crookes, Jessie Reyez, Raye, and Greentea Peng are some of my favorite artists.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, they would be…

Independent, thoughtful and passionate

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I don’t have a specific place in mind but definitely somewhere between mountains and ocean.
