If you could have lunch with any person (living or dead) who would it be? I’d choose to have lunch with Maya Deren. As a trailblazer in experimental film and interdisciplinary art, I’d love to learn how she navigated both creative risks and structural challenges in her time. Her mind would be electrifying to sit across from.
What award would you most like to win? I’d love to win a Peabody Award. It honors storytelling that’s not just excellent, but socially impactful, the kind of work that challenges norms, shifts conversations, and creates space for underrepresented voices. That intersection of creativity and cultural influence is exactly where I want my work to live.
