What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern University?
I decided to enroll in the MSLCE program because I want to build my dream without having a blind eye to the business of the entertainment industry. As an independent artist, I had to learn everything from scratch. My mother, who used to work in the industry, was able to help me with the promotional aspect, but because of the heavy social media landscape, she, too, had to relearn the business. During this time, I became interested in finding a program that could teach me the ins and outs of the industry while also pushing for its students to have a concrete place within it. After reviewing the course list and learning more about the MSLCE program, I knew this was the right place and program for me

Which leader or influential figure inspires you the most and why?
As someone born in New York City and raised just across the Hudson River, I find Mayor Zohran Mamdani the most inspiring person. So often we see politicians deliver false promises. They say they work for the people, and, being public servants, I would assume they would. But I felt very short-handed. Under Mamdani’s leadership, I can see his main objective is to help the working class and make them feel noticed. He is humane, empathetic, and above all, passionate
