Experience: During my undergraduate time, I completed several research papers in communication studies, one of which was published in an academic journal. I also interned at a gaming company NetEase, where I worked on social media promotion and marketing for several major game updates and participated in operational decision-making
Ideal role in 10 years: I hope to become a department head or senior manager at a gaming, social media, or internet company
What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern University?
I chose MSLCE because it combines Northwestern’s strong academic reputation with a practical, career-oriented curriculum that closely aligns with my career goals.
Favorite song/movie/podcast/show/festival/exhibition?
I like J-POP, especially artist like Mafumafu, Eve, etc. My favorite movie is the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
What aspect of the MSLCE program are you most excited to experience? (i.e. specific class, site visit, IDEA fund, internship, etc.)
I’m curious about the internship opportunities.
If you could have lunch with one person living or dead, who would it be and why?
I would love to have lunch with Cao Xueqin, the author of Dream of the Red Chamber. Since he passed away before completing the novel, I see this as one of the great unfinished regrets in world literature. I would love to hear his own thoughts and interpretations of the characters and story, especially the parts that remain open to interpretation. Being able to hear his perspective firsthand would be an unforgettable experience.
