What are 1-2 of your most significant academic/extracurricular/work experiences? I started a production company with fellow filmmakers in 2013 and in the span of three years created nine short films which were screened at festivals internationally. In 2021 I developed and facilitated a nine week cohort curriculum focused on inter-organization collaboration, artistry, and the exploration of the history of injustice within Los Angeles against BIPOC.
What is your ideal job/role in about 10 years? I want to be producing at a company that is relevant and adapting at the forefront of culture.
What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? The MSLCE program is at the intersection of my passions in artistry and nonprofit entrepreneurship. I feel like this program is the next step in equipping me and connecting me to the right people and organizations that align with my career path.
What aspect of the MSLCE program are you most excited to experience? (i.e. specific class, site visit, IDEA fund, internship, etc.) There are a number of classes that I’ve heard great things about, and I’m excited to form relationships with mentors in the program.
Favorite piece of media? I just saw one of the final productions of Sleep No More in NYC. This was a long running immersive theatre experience that allowed you to freely choose which characters and stories to follow across six floors of a hotel.
