Area(s) of Interest: Visual arts, Fine arts, Entrepreneurship, PR/Marketing, Event Planning

Experience: I worked in marketing and event management for over a decade before leaving my job in January 2020 to start my own event planning business. By the end of February 2020, I decided to pivot my business model and eventually launched a single-use party supply and tableware line that I designed, manufactured, and continue to sell online.

Ideal job in 10 Years: Leading my own business, expanding my brand offerings and coaching a growing team.

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? It has been a long-term goal of mine to pursue a master’s degree. I started looking for programs that bridged creative backgrounds with a business curriculum. I believe that the curriculum, professional development, and networking opportunities offered by the MSLCE program will challenge my thinking, enhance my skill set and lead to personal and professional growth.

What are you most looking forward to about the MSLCE program? I’m looking forward to taking “The Power of Pitching and Persuasion” class. As an introvert, the public speaking format of this course terrifies me, but I’m excited to push myself and learn how to craft a perfect pitch.

Where are you from? Atlanta, GA, USA
