Experience: One of my most significant experiences was as a senior in undergrad when I worked at the local Juvenile Detention Center as part of a leadership course. In this course we put together and hosted classes on art, music, dance, improvisation, photography, and more. During my time in the class I learned that many of the students did not receive arts education growing up due to low funding in their neighborhoods. This made me realize that I want to work with underfunded and in need youth one day. Another significant experience I had was working in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World. I fell in love with the company and the work they do to better our future generations through entertainment and Disney magic.

Ideal job in 10 Years: Working for Disney in their Youth Programs. I hope to create a scholarship program at Disney to help them bring more underfunded schools to the parks to perform and learn.

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I chose the MSLCE program because it offered me the ability to choose my own course path, while still working towards my goal of working in arts management. I also like that the other students have a broad range of backgrounds to offer new knowledge to me in my courses. Although I have a clear path of what I want, this diverse exposure will provide me with resources and knowledge that I would not otherwise be able to experience. I know this program will offer me a strong foundation for my future.

What are you most looking forward to about the MSLCE program? I’m very excited to experience the immersion trip in the Spring. I love that we get to travel to NY or LA to experience and network with some of the biggest companies in creative enterprises.

If you could have lunch with anyone person (living or dead) who would it be? Audrey Hepburn because not only was she an incredible actress with a diverse acting career, but she also was a humanitarian who spent many years working with UNICEF to bring healthcare, aid, and education to those in less fortunate countries.

Where are you from? Wheeling, Illinois USA
