What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I was seeking an avenue for transitioning my career from advertising to my original dream of being a showrunner. I was excited to find a program that would not only teach me important leadership and business skills, but also connect me with a group of like-minded peers.

Favorite (song/movie/show/festival/exhibition … )? Favorite TV Shows are “Stranger Things”, “Voltron Legendary Defender”, “Avatar The Last Airbender” and “The Good Place.” My favorite movies are “Skyfall,” “Spiderman Into the SpiderVerse,” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service.” My favorite podcasts are “Lore,” “Cabin Pressure” and “The Adventure Zone.”

What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program? I’m excited about everything! I’m excited to be challenged, meet new people and explore outside of my comfort zone. But in particular, I’m most excited to put 110% of my energy and focus into adapting my current creative and marketing abilities into the entertainment industry. Be it through classes, the spring trip or the summer internship, I know this next year will provide pivotal opportunities and I’m ready to take them head on.

What is your favorite Chicago landmark/attraction, or what are you most excited to visit? My favorite thing to do when I need to brainstorm is go for a run on the lakefront bike path.

If you could have lunch with one person (living or dead), who would it be? I would love the opportunity to discuss creativity and the process of bringing a creative production to life with Lin-Manuel Miranda.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? There are many places I’d love to visit, but I’d love to live somewhere warm and by the ocean. Currently considering the west coast.

Where are you from? Chicago, Illinois
