Experience: As an undergraduate performance major, I interned at Pittsburgh Festival Opera as both an administrative assistant on the summer season while also performing as a young artist in the casts. I also spent the last year learning about the opera scene in the greater Cleveland area through working and volunteering with a network of established directors, program leaders, and performers at Cleveland Opera Theater, Playhouse Square, and my undergraduate university.

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I chose the MSLCE program because of their emphasis on innovation, new media, and their diverse network of young professionals working across the entire arts sector.
Favorite (song/movie/show/festival/exhibition … )? My favorite opera would have to be Manon by Massenet or Bizet’s Carmen.
My favorite television shows right now are WestWorld and The Handmaid’s Tale.
What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program? Getting to meet and study with leading professionals in my fields of interest during professional development; and the potential for future collaboration with my peers on a creative team.
What is your favorite Chicago landmark/attraction, or what are you most excited to visit? I could spend a week at The Art Institute, or an opera at the Lyric.
If you could have lunch with one person (living or dead), who would it be? Nina Simone is among my favorite performers of all time. She represents an undeniable artistry that may be at odds with the world she lived in. I would love to ask her about her work in the Civil Rights movement, and our shared love of Bach.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Marseille or Amsterdam

How do you plan on spending/did you spend your summer before starting MSLCE? Working and settling in around Chicago
