Rebekah Sigman
University of Virginia – BA Theater

Experience: My most significant experience was serving as a production dramaturg for a production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. This experience is what ignited my passion for using art to facilitate needed conversations for my community.
Ideal Job in 10 Years: Director of Education, doing audience and community engagement work for a theater company, or higher ed performing arts center.
What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern?  The MSLCE program will expose me to varying facets of my areas of interest and give me the opportunity to develop myself further as a professional in the theater and arts industries. While I have an ideal job in mind as I begin this program, I chose the MSLCE program because I know I will be exposed to opportunity beyond what I can imagine at this moment.
What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program?  My excitement for this curriculum led me to the MSLCE program, but I am most excited for the internship/thesis. I know by the time I reach that stage, I will have gone through all the classes I am excited to take and will have been exposed to new ideas that I am not even aware of at this time. I look forward to synthesizing the course work through my final summer in the program.
