Experience: I recently did a marketing internship at a digital bank called Liv based in Dubai. It was a rewarding experience as I learnt a lot from my supervisors and the marketing team at Liv. I developed useful skills that I believe would be beneficial professionally in the future. For instance, I learnt how to confidently lead an analytical report presentation to an entire team and work on my marketing skills such as copywriting and studying what social media trends big companies should use to appeal to their audience.

Ideal Job in 10 Years: Creating a company that allows me to lead and work with a team of creative people to produce engaging content.

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I liked how Northwestern’s MS in Leadership for Creative Enterprises program allows students to combine their creative passions with business-oriented skills while molding their entrepreneurial spirit. The program is essentially built to help students become capable leaders who can lead teams and create successful projects while working in the Entertainment, Media, and Arts industries.

What are you most looking forward to about the MSLCE program? The aspects of the MSCLE program that I am the most excited about is going to class and learning from professors about how to navigate creative industries. For instance, I hope and look forward to attending Prof. Jacob Smith’s Understanding the Creative industries class as I find the focus on the course fascinating.

If you could have lunch with one person (living or dead), who would it be? I would lunch with Mindy Kaling and discuss her journey from an actor to a showrunner. I’m a fan of her and admire the way she found success in the film and television industry. Some of my favorite shows were produced by her such as Never Have I Ever, The Office and The Mindy Project.

Which leader or influential figure inspires you the most and why? Influential figures like Mindy Kaling, Zendaya and Audrey Hepburn inspire me because I like their philosophy in life and I found their journey to finding success uplifting.
