What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I was led to the MSLCE program through my search for a master’s program that marries my passions for both onstage performance and education.

What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program? Meeting other students in the program and learning from their backgrounds. Also, exploring and becoming familiar with creative organizations in Chicago.

What is your favorite Chicago landmark/attraction, or what are you most excited to visit? The Lyric Opera of Chicago and Eataly!

If you could have lunch with one person (living or dead), who would it be? Carole King. Carole King is my favorite singer/songwriter whose lyrics have spoken to people for decades. I saw the Broadway musical “Beautiful” in NYC and was not only inspired by her music, but also by her arc as an artist.

What thought or message would you put in a fortune cookie? Every journey starts with a single step

How do you plan on spending/did you spend your summer before starting MSLCE? This summer I am performing in a musical adaptation of “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and vocal directing a children’s production of “Seussical” at the Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre

Where are you from? Evanston, IL
