What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? The introductory core curriculum could give me an idea of what the art industry looks like; by learning with faculty members who have worked in the creative industry for years, I get to develop an actionable career plan that fits me the best.
Favorite (song/movie/show/festival/exhibition … )? Teshima Art Museum in Japan
What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program? Speaker series and site visits.
What is your favorite Chicago landmark/attraction, or what are you most excited to visit? Lincoln Park Zoo and Chinatown.
If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be? My father. Although I spent my summer vacation mostly in Beijing, I barely had a chance to sit down and talk with him as he is too busy.
If you had to describe yourself in three words they would be … Creative, observant, sympathetic
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Japan

What award would you most like to win? The Guggenheim Fellowship
Which leader or influential figure inspires you the most and why? Eva Chen. She is now the Head of Fashion Partnership at Instagram. She is a second-generation immigrant and now one of the most important figure in the fashion industry. She was in medical school at John Hopkins, but she decided to join the fashion industry after an internship at Harper’s Bazaar. I admire her for how brave she was to switch her career path to follow her heart.
What’s the thing that you feel most regret for? I wish I could have discovered my passion for art and museums earlier.
