Area(s) of Interest: TV/film

Experience:  My internship at NBC was amazing and a surreal experience. I applied online and got very lucky! Additionally, I loved getting invited to join Phi Beta Kappa at Emory. It proved to me that my hard work paid off!

Ideal job in 10 Years? I would love to be at a streaming service working in Original Series or at  television network working in current programming hopefully as a manager or higher!

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I knew that I wanted to learn more academically about the television world and fine tune my professional skills and abilities. This program encompassed both and I cannot wait to get started!

What are you most looking forward to about the MSLCE program?

I can’t wait to take television-centered courses. I never got to do this in undergrad, and I’m so excited to learn more about my preferred area in an academic setting.

If you could have lunch with one person (living or dead), who would it be?

I’d want to have lunch with the musical artist Lizzo. I know this isn’t the traditional answer, but her music is incredibly freeing, and celebrates female empowerment and the female body. I love what she stands for and strive to have that same level of energy in my work and the same ability to communicate to target audiences.

Which leader or influential figure inspires you the most and why? Michelle Obama inspires me the most because she changed my idea of what a first lady’s place was. She is poised and well-spoken, yet relatable and culturally relevant in the way she speaks to people. She doesn’t need to be flashy with her vocabulary or academic history; she is one for the people and speaks to them in common vernacular. I love that she was a first lady who fought the good fight, but did so on behalf of everyone.

Where are you from? Calabasas, California, USA
