What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? The fact that it’s a one year program that allows me to learn different business skills within the arts and nonprofits. I also love that all of the students come from such different backgrounds. That will allow me to grow through interacting with people who think differently and have different experiences than I do.
Favorite (song/movie/show/festival/exhibition … )? I listen to a ton of different podcasts, but my favorites are “99% Invisible”, “Death, Sex & Money”, and “Revisionist History”. In terms of theatre, my favorite musicals are “Cabaret”, “Bright Star”, “Once”, and “Miss Saigon”. My favorite play is “Indecent”.

Her family moved from Poland and she married an Italian immigrant during a time when neither ethnic group were seen as equals. She then raised a big family in Detroit and saw a lot of big changes in the US. She dies when I was in 1st grade and I’ve heard a lot of stories about her but can’t remember her well.

What thought or message would you put in a fortune cookie? Always ask! The worst thing a person can say is no.
If you could donate one million dollars, which cause/organization would you choose to support? I would donate to Planned Parenthood.
What award would you most like to win? I’d love to win a Tony Award for Excellence in Theatre Education Award
Which leader or influential figure inspires you the most and why? The students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. After experiencing an absolute tragedy, they came back and took charge of their futures. When many people just call for prayers, they organized marches, met with politicians, and tried to change the world for the better so that nothing like their shooting could happen again. And it goes to show that you can make a difference no matter your age.
What is your favorite summer memory? Playing whiffle ball with my cousins Up North and getting bruises from going so crazy while tubing.
Where are you from? Asheville, NC
