Ideal Job in 10 Years: Working for a TV show or podcast network that produces media created by (and featuring) underrepresented populations.

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? The MSCLE program had everything I wanted: an amazing curriculum, a fantastic guest lecture series, a strong emphasis on internships, and the industry immersion trip! All of these things will help me build a network that will be crucial to ensuring that I can successfully transition from my previous career in Student Affairs/Higher Education into doing what I’m truly passionate about: developing stories/ideas and finding a way to get them to people who are ready to love them.

Favorite (song/movie/show/festival/exhibition … )? TV-wise: The Good Place, The Exorcist, or The Expanse. Podcast-wise: Friends at the Table, The Adventure Zone, Wolf 359, and Limetown.

What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program? All of it!

What is your favorite Chicago landmark/attraction, or what are you most excited to visit? Anything to do with the 1893 World’s Fair, ghost tours.

If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be? Lin Manuel-Miranda, because I’d love to cry about Hamilton (and ask him a billion questions about his process).

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? London, the Pacific Northwest, or Los Angeles.

What award would you most like to win? An EGOT

Where are you from? Virginia Beach, VA
