Area(s) of Interest: Music, TV/film, Visual arts, Performing arts, Theatre, Video/digital media, Entrepreneurship, Writing/Publishing, Improvisation/Comedy, Podcasting

Experience: My training at The Second City, especially in The Conservatory program, was extremely significant to my growth as a actor, improviser, and content creator. Additionally, my work as the research assistant to Dr. Dustin Goltz, a Professor at DePaul University and Veteran Performance Artist, made me a better performer and opened my eyes to the importance of directing. Working with Dr. Goltz on his multimedia autobiographical performance showed me how innovative individual performances and narratives can be and the impact one voice can have on the world.

Ideal job in 10 Years: Creator/Writer and Actor performing my own work

What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern? MSLCE felt like the piece that was missing from my education. As an artist, it is crucial to understand the business and development side of the creative industries, to actively seek out the leadership skills needed to create your own content, and to help others make their voices come alive as well. I’m looking forward to participating in the MSLCE program, as it seems like the perfect place to expand my understanding of the creative industries, and to understand how I can fit into them and rise as a creative leader.

What are you most looking forward to about the MSLCE program? I’m most excited to take Power of Pitching and Persuasion with Laverne McKinnon.

If you could have lunch with anyone person (living or dead) who would it be? I would have lunch with Phoebe Waller Bridge because I’m obsessed with her.

Where are you from? Evanston, IL USA
