Jonah Levi-Paesky
Dickinson College – Music and Psychology

Experience: Being the first Musical Studies Major (a comprehensive music degree incorporating theory, history, and performance) at Dickinson College. Combining my two undergraduate degrees to study and present a Senior Capstone regarding the healing properties of the human voice.
Ideal Job in 10 years: Working as a creative/artistic director for a performing arts organization, with a focus on cultivating inclusive and socially-conscious content.
What led you to enroll in the MSLCE program at Northwestern?  While I have always been involved in the arts as a performer, I have grown interested in how artistic projects can be built from the ground up. I enrolled in the MSLCE program because I felt it would provide me with the resources and knowledge to pursue creative endeavors from another role behind the scenes.
What are you most looking forwards to about the MSLCE program?  I am extremely excited to immerse myself in the Chicago arts scene through our site visits!
Favorite (song/movie/show/festival/exhibition … )?   I recently had the opportunity to see the Broadway revival of “Once on This Island,” and it was certainly one of the most moving productions I have seen live. I would also love to see a revival of one of my favorite musicals/films, “Funny Girl.”
If I could have lunch with one person it’d be: If I could sit at a table with Meryl Streep and/or Barbra Streisand, I could die happy.
Award I’d most like to win: I hope to be among the few and prestigious EGOT winners (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony).
Where are you from? Northfield, IL.
